COPS Open - City of Peterborough Swimming Club

I attended the COPS Open this weekend. It was an amazing event with swimmers competing from all over the region. What I admired most was the dedication of the helpers and officials who unselfishly sacrificed one of their precious weekends to enable an event of such magnitude to take place. The swimmers too were inspirational. All too often public focus is diverted to examine the poor behaviour of a few. Here, by stark contrast, there were a vast number of children who demonstrate all the qualities required for success; self discipline, self motivation, team ethic and hard work to name but a few.
